How often do we self talk? Say aloud the things we need to work on to be positive and live to our fullest potential and capacity? Typically, unless we are trying to process a complex problem and want to hear our own narration for clarity and assuredness we don’t look at ourselves as someone who could use a little self talk to keep us moving forward and upward. As you would coach and encourage your students and performers, do you encourage YOU? Time to put your motivation into activation. Everyday, at least 3 times a day-remind yourself of 3 very positive things about yourself…then change it next week, and if you are having problems finding new positives…well then its 3 positive goals you reach for.
